The hub was made possible in part thanks to the generous land donation from Kingston Ocean Grove on behalf of the Corless Family, a contribution that will benefit the Ocean Grove and Bellarine community. Family members, Win Corless, son Jason and daughter Christine attending the opening ceremony. Speaking at the official opening, Jason Corless reflected on his father Ed Corless’ vision of giving back to the community.
“The Corless family is incredibly proud to see this vision come to life. My father, Ed Corless, believed in giving back to the community, and today, we see that vision realised with the opening of this new health and wellbeing centre. We are grateful to Bellarine Community Health for bringing this project to fruition and providing an essential resource for locals. This facility will ensure that quality healthcare remains accessible to the people of Ocean Grove and the Bellarine for generations to come,” said Jason Corless, Managing Director of Kingston Ocean Grove.
The project has been designed in two stages and BCH is actively seeking funding, including grants, for construction of stage two which will further enhance the range of services which can be offered from the hub.
