Kingston Twilight Christmas Party Delivers a Magical Summer Evening
Kingston’s much-loved Twilight Christmas Party returned to Airlie’s Play Space this December, and it did not disappoint. On a warm summer evening, families from across the community came together to celebrate the festive season with music, laughter and plenty of Christmas cheer.
The atmosphere was buzzing from the moment the gates opened. Children danced, played mini golf, explored the petting zoo and delighted in close encounters with the roaming dinosaurs, while families spread out picnic rugs and soaked up the relaxed twilight vibe.
Entertainment was a standout throughout the night. The Mik Maks had kids (and more than a few adults) up and dancing, while Kim Cooper and her Studio of Voice students impressed the crowd with their outstanding performances. Face painting and balloon twisting proved hugely popular, with long lines of smiling kids showing off their colourful creations.
Food trucks were kept busy all evening, with the free Lions Club sausage sizzle a hit alongside Timboon Ice Cream, Rockin’ Twistie Potatoes and Churros Yummy Donuts—ensuring no one went home hungry.
The evening was topped off in true Kingston style with Santa’s much-anticipated arrival aboard the SES truck, escorted by the SES Bellarine Unit. It was a magical moment that brought smiles to faces young and old, and a perfect way to close out the celebration.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the Kingston Twilight Christmas Party such a wonderful success. From our performers and volunteers to local groups and families, this event once again showcased the strong community spirit that makes Kingston such a special place.
We can’t wait to do it all again next year.
